1. Be Real.
2. Be Responsible.
3. Be Ready.

DISCUSSION

Question 1

Talk about an area of life, a habit, or a mental stronghold in which Jesus has set you free when you gave your heart to Christ.  Give us a brief version of your story in Christ.

Question 2

Which area has been your biggest struggle?

1. Following the flesh, 2. Following your feelings, or 3. Others thinking well of you?

Question 3

What is the 1 practical thing you could do to position yourself for success in the above area this week?

“For since he himself has now
been through suffering and
temptation, he knows what it is
like when we suffer and are
tempted, and he is wonderfully
able to help us.”

Hebrews 2:18 TLB

PRAYER

God,

I come to you seeking your help and guidance in overcoming temptation. I know that you understand the struggles I face, for you yourself have now been tempted and you know what it is like. I know that you are able to help me.

Give me the wisdom to recognize when I am being tempted, and the courage to turn away from it and seek your guidance instead.

Thank you for your love and mercy, and for always being there for me. I trust in your guidance and know that with your help, I can overcome temptation and live a life that is pleasing to you.

In Jesus' name, I pray,

Amen.

LIVE IT OUT

Whenever you feel tempted, it's actually an opportunity for you to connect with God in a different way. This week, when you encounter temptation, try to reach out to God by saying, "God, I need you at this moment!". Let's discover ways to depend on His power and guidance.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
